Botswana’s magnificent Okavango Delta is a maze of lagoons, lakes and hidden channels covering an area of over 16,000 km² in flood and shrinking to less than 9,000 km² in the dry season. Trapped in the parched Kalahari sands the fresh water oasis attracts wildlife.

Duba Plains

Duba Plains is perhaps the Okavango Delta's most remote camp. The camp is located in a private 30,000 hectare reserve in the furthermost reaches of the Delta on an island, surrounded by expansive seasonally flooded plains (dependant on annual flood waters) and shaded by tall ebony trees.

Camp Okavango is situated on the remote Nxaragha Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, assuring a year-round water wilderness experience.

Northern Okavango Delta in a large and exclusive 30.000 hectare private reserve.
  • Accommodation

Camp Okavango’s elegant thatch and lethaka main lodge building, shaded by giant Mangosteen Trees, features a cocktail bar, lounge and wildlife reference library. The dining room leads onto an expansive open-air patio for evenings around the fireside offering guests a chance to view the stars beneath the crystal clear skies of Botswana. Other facilities include a secluded bird-viewing hide and a sun-kissed deck with plunge pool for relaxing during the hot midday hours.

6 tents in total consisting of
5 ¾ twin bedded tents (3 of which can be converted into king size beds on request)
1 king-size bedded honeymoon tent
1 twin pilot/guide/escort tent (not the same standard as guest tent)
This camp can accommodate 12 guests with tour leader.
